Good morning everyone and Happy New Year.

I have a Triumph Thunderbird 1600, and I had thought about changing the exhaust tips for Zard ones.

I have a K&N air filter installed on the motorcycle, and I have a question about whether I install the Zard ones, I have to change the configuration of the control unit.

I have been searching on the internet, and on the Tune Ecu website, I only find the maps for exhausts that are not standard + SAI/No SAI (I have the doubt if my 2009 motorcycle has SAI); but I can't find any map for changes of exhaust + air filter + UPS/No UPS.

Would it be necessary to make changes to the ECU if the ZARD + K&N Filter is installed?

In that case, which map is better?

Thanks for reading and for the help.

The tunes applicable to your bike are either 20306 if you have SAI or 20356 without SAI. I don't think they mention air filters as in this configuration it probably doesn't matter. Once you start making further changes such as cat delete then those tunes need to be modified. Best thing to do is find a dyno tuner who can use the TuneEcu software.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe all early models had SAI under RH side cover. My 09 has it, ignored all these years.
